The Kappa League Mission

Kappa League is a subset of the Guide Right, our National Service Initiative for male students in grades 6-12, founded by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Its purpose is to provide educational, occupational, and social guidance, with goals including promoting academic achievement, discovering and developing leadership potential, and preparing young men for college and career success through mentorship and community service.

Kappa League was founded February 12, 1969, by the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity Inc., at Alain LeRoy Locke High School. Kappa League was adopted by the Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity Inc. at the 56th Grand Chapter held August 12-15, 1970.

The IAAC Guide Right/Kappa League is now in its second year of nurturing young men from the Orange Country area. Our program seeks to instill a sense of academic excellence while promoting purpose and greater understanding of the world around as it relates to personal finance, personal development and professional etiquette, technology, health and fitness.

The Kappa League Experience

Membership in Kappa League is not just seen as a portion of these young man's formative scholastic years but hopefully to continue with parental support and encouragement throughout his college years.

We see KL as a platform for creating a desire to ultimately lay the groundwork for these young men to grow into becoming members of Kappa Alpha Fraternity Inc. It is the goal for them through joining an undergraduate chapter at an accredited university and ultimately to matriculate into the Irvine Alumni chapter or Kappa chapter of his choosing upon graduation.
